About this course

There are a large variety of fibres used in concrete for the construction industry. Fibres come in different sizes, shapes and materials and there is not one fibre for all uses. Today, the most commonly used fibres in fibre-reinforced concrete are steel and polypropylene, however there are other materials such as glass (alkali-resistant) and natural materials like cellulose.

During this Part 2 of 2 course you will build on what you learnt in the Fibre-Reinforced Concrete Part 1 course, by looking at the characteristics of concrete fibres and how they fibres are combined with concrete.
